This map was compiled at a scale of 1:250,000 by the MSU Center for
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Science (CRSGIS) from the visual
interpretation of custom enhanced Landsat Multispectral Scanner and Thematic
Mapper Imagery. Each 1 km2 area of the state is classified according
to its spatially dominant cover type.
